A little bit about my educational background…

A 2001 graduate of Bishop Kelley High School, I was a National Merit Scholar and earned a perfect 36 on the Math, Science, and Reading sections of the ACT.  I continued my education at The University of Oklahoma (but I married an OSU Cowboy, so I have love for all things Oklahoma) where I graduated as the Outstanding Senior Woman in 2005.  During my time at OU, I earned a B.S. in Mathematics Education and a Masters of Education in Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision.

After graduating from OU, I came back to Tulsa and taught high school math and speech and debate at my alma mater, Bishop Kelley.  In 2011, I received the De La Salle Faculty Award at Bishop Kelley Graduation (similar to a Teacher of the Year Award).  In 2013, I coached the National Champion in Extemp Commentary at the National Forensic National Tournament in Birmingham, Alabama, and was named the East Oklahoma District Coach of the Year in 2014.

And a little bit more about why I do what I do…

Since 2007, I have taught over 215 National Merit Scholars, Semifinalists, and Commended Scholars, and I have worked with thousands of students to raise their ACT scores.  Why?  I am a self-proclaimed standardized test NERD.  While I am the first to admit these tests have no bearing on how successful you will be in life, how smart you are right now, or how happy you will be years down the road, these tests aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.  Whether you are studying to raise your score to get into your dream school or desperately trying to earn more scholarship money, there are definite benefits to preparing for these tests.  I will meet you where you are in your test preparation battle and work with you to raise your score.  Feel free to contact me to discuss the best strategy to get your score where you want it to be — whether through self-study, free web resources, tutoring, or small group classes, I can help you figure out what the best strategy is for YOU.
